When it comes to power quality susceptibility of contemporary ICT equipment, we cannot depend on the ITIC/CBEMA curves alone. While the population size tested in this study is not statistically representative of the ICT power supply modules available in the market, the fact that the results are consistently inconsistent should not be ignored.
The evidence gathered in The Green Grid’s study suggests that more detailed planning is required to completely and confidently understand the power quality susceptibility performance of ICT equipment. Conversations between ICT equipment customers and the equipment manufacturers could raise visibility of this issue in the industry.
